Submissions open on the 1st of every month and close the 15th. Cave Writing accepts chapters from larger works, and longform poetry that intends to tell a story in a similar way. For writing, please refrain from exceeding our word limit of 1,500-5,000 words for your chapters. We have monthly prompts if you're looking for a challenge, but they are not required to be used for submissions. We will do our best to provide you with feedback on your submission, but this is not always guaranteed.
Submission Guidelines
-1,500-5,000 words.
- Standalone chapter.
- Can be from a part of a story (beginning, middle, end).
- One chapter from a single work (per month).
- May submit as many times a month as you'd like as long as they are not from the same larger work.
- Could be a chapter from a larger work you're writing or a single chapter.
